Regina High School linebacker Tate Wallace, considered one of the top players from Iowa in the class of 2027, has scheduled an official visit to the University of Minnesota. Wallace, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 335 player in the country
and the No. 26 linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite. He has been recognized for his performance in the Navy All-American Bowl and his impressive junior season stats, which include 49.5 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks. Wallace has also excelled as a tight end, catching 40 passes for 611 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns. The Gophers have been actively recruiting Wallace, who has previously visited the campus for unofficial visits, including for the Purdue game last season. Minnesota is the first school to schedule an official visit with Wallace, who holds offers from other notable programs such as Tennessee, Iowa, and West Virginia.
