What's Happening?
Solstice Minerals has announced a significant extension of copper-gold mineralisation at its Nanadie Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia. The company has successfully extended the mineralisation 160 meters north of the current mineral resource estimate
boundary. This development comes after the initial phase two reverse circulation drilling, which returned notable intercepts, including 44 meters at 0.52% copper and 0.14 grams per tonne gold from 93 meters in hole NANRC030. Other significant results include 32 meters at 0.60% copper and 0.18 grams per tonne gold from 247 meters to the end of hole in NANRC029, and 26 meters at 0.60% copper and 0.13 grams per tonne gold from 36 meters in NANRC028. The mineralisation now covers a 1.2-kilometer strike length and remains open to the north, with drilling showing a strong correlation to a large induced polarisation chargeability anomaly.
Why It's Important?
The extension of mineralisation at the Nanadie Project is a crucial development for Solstice Minerals, as it demonstrates the growth potential of the site. This expansion could significantly increase the project's resource base, enhancing its economic viability and attractiveness to investors. The successful drilling results also underscore the potential for further discoveries in the region, which could lead to increased mining activity and economic benefits for the local community. Additionally, the project contributes to the global supply of copper and gold, which are essential for various industries, including electronics and jewelry.
What's Next?
Solstice Minerals is continuing its phase two drilling program with two rigs on site. A diamond rig has completed 11 tails totaling over 2,500 meters of core, while 18 reverse circulation holes totaling approximately 4,800 meters have been drilled. The company expects to receive assays from the first diamond hole in three to four weeks. As the drilling progresses, further extensions of the mineralisation could be identified, potentially leading to an updated resource estimate. The ongoing exploration efforts will be closely watched by stakeholders, including investors and industry analysts, as they could impact the company's valuation and strategic direction.
