DataBank, a Dallas-based data center developer, has secured $2 billion in financing to construct a series of data centers in Red Oak, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. This project is part of a broader trend where AI data centers are being built closer to urban
areas to enhance service delivery. The financing, led by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, will support the construction of three data center buildings, with plans for a fourth building underway.
