What's Happening?
Dr. LuJean Waters has been announced as the 2026 Woman of the Year in Agriculture by Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson. Dr. Waters is a seventh-generation Florida cattle rancher, veterinarian, and owner of Heartland Large Animal Services,
serving livestock producers across Central Florida. She also teaches animal science and beef cattle production classes at Warner University. Dr. Waters has held numerous leadership roles, including Chair of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association Animal Health Committee and member of the Florida Beef Council. She is recognized for her dedication to serving Florida agriculture and mentoring the next generation.
