What's Happening?
The Ottawa Senators will be selling Brickley Bears at the Canadian Tire Centre during their game against the New Jersey Devils. These bears, dressed in Senators jerseys, will be available for purchase
at Gate 1 and Gate 2. The initiative supports the Senators Community Foundation's Ignite Hope Telethon. Brickley Bears were introduced in 2015 to aid The Brick's fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network, benefiting 13 children's hospitals across Canada. Each bear is priced at $20, with $10 going to the Senators Community Foundation. Last year, the bears sold out before the first intermission.
Why It's Important?
The sale of Brickley Bears is a significant fundraising effort that supports children's hospitals across Canada. By partnering with the Senators Community Foundation, the initiative not only raises funds but also increases awareness of the needs of children's healthcare facilities. The success of this program highlights the community's support and the importance of corporate social responsibility in sports. For the Ottawa Senators, this initiative strengthens their community ties and enhances their brand image as a socially responsible organization.
