Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to launch a new workforce training program aimed at preparing individuals for semiconductor equipment technician
roles. This initiative, known as the ASU Foundations for Equipment Technician Program, is designed to quickly train participants to maintain and troubleshoot specialized systems essential for chip production. The program is offered at no cost to participants and is part of TSMC's efforts to expand its manufacturing operations in Arizona. According to Adam Eklund, senior program manager for ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, the program provides an opportunity for individuals to enter a rapidly growing industry in the Valley, with numerous roles needing to be filled promptly.
