Arevon Energy has commenced construction on the Cormorant Energy Storage Project in Daly City, California. The project, valued at $600 million, will feature a 250-MW/1,000-MWh energy storage system using lithium iron phosphate battery technology. The project is
expected to be operational by next year and is contracted under a long-term agreement with MCE, serving over 1.8 million customers. The construction will employ approximately 175 workers and is projected to generate over $73 million in property tax revenue.
