Tredence, an AI firm, has inaugurated a new office in Kolkata as part of its strategic expansion in India. This move positions Kolkata as a significant hub for the company's artificial intelligence, data
science, and data engineering operations aimed at global enterprises. Currently employing around 220 professionals in Kolkata, Tredence plans to increase its workforce in the city to over 1,000 by 2027. The company is also focusing on strengthening ties with educational and research institutions in eastern India to support its long-term expansion strategy. This includes exploring collaborations such as joint problem-solving projects and structured hiring partnerships to enhance its talent pipeline. Tredence's global workforce stands at approximately 4,200 employees, and the company has previously opened an innovation centre in Pune to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
