Taara, a company specializing in free space optics (FSO) technology, is expanding its operations into remote video production and data centers. This expansion is facilitated through a partnership with Cintegral, a production technology specialist. Taara's
Lightbridge platform will be used to power Cintegral's ST 2110 Fiber-over-the-Air product, enabling wireless delivery of 4K and 8K video feeds from remote sites to post-production teams. This technology is being validated by major studios such as Amazon, Netflix, and Disney. Additionally, Taara is developing the Taara Beam product, which uses silicon photonics to deliver up to 25 Gbit/s over 10 kilometers. This product is expected to be available for early access by the end of the summer and fully available by 2027. Taara's technology is also being considered for use in terrestrial and orbital data centers, providing connectivity solutions where fiber is not yet available.
