Annie Ford and Sophia McManus, seniors at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, have been selected to perform in the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra’s Rising Stars concert. The event is scheduled for March 22 at Flossmoor Community Church. Both musicians were
chosen through auditions and teacher recommendations. Ford, a trumpeter, and McManus, a French horn player, have been active in their school's music programs. Their selection highlights their dedication and talent, as they prepare to perform pieces by Balay and Dukas, respectively.
