Carbondale is set to kick off its summer season with the May First Friday Block Party, transforming Main Street into a pedestrian-friendly area. The event, scheduled for May 1, 2026, from 4-8 pm, will
feature extended hours for local shops, galleries, and restaurants, along with special events. The 16th annual Family Block Party will take place at the 4th Street Plaza & Chacos Park, offering local food, music produced by valley youth, and activities with local non-profits. Highlights include the Carbondale Rotary Club’s Fireball Drop at 5 pm and the Bonedale Flea Market, showcasing local makers, vintage goods, and culinary delights.
