What's Happening?
Vault Strategic Mining has commenced exploration activities at the War Bond Tungsten Project located in the Delaware Mining District of western Nevada. The project includes three historical tungsten mines: War Bond, Tactite, and Thursday, covering approximately
400 acres. The company is employing modern exploration techniques to verify and consolidate historical data, aiming to advance the project towards generating disciplined drill targets. The exploration will involve detailed mapping, channel sampling, and structural measurements to evaluate the distribution of scheelite and develop drill targets. Historical assay records from the 1940s indicate significant tungsten trioxide content, but these records predate current standards and require confirmation through modern studies.
Why It's Important?
The exploration of the War Bond Tungsten Project is significant as it represents a strategic move by Vault Strategic Mining to tap into the critical minerals sector, which is essential for various industries, including technology and defense. Tungsten is a critical mineral with applications in manufacturing and electronics, and its domestic production is crucial for reducing reliance on foreign sources. The project could potentially contribute to the U.S. supply of tungsten, supporting national security and economic stability. Successful exploration and development could lead to job creation and economic growth in the region.
What's Next?
Vault Strategic Mining plans to conduct confirmation drilling and modern metallurgical studies to define current resources and assess the economic viability of the project. The company will also need to ensure compliance with National Instrument 43-101 standards to validate historical data. The results of these studies will determine the feasibility of further development and potential production. Stakeholders, including local communities and regulatory bodies, will likely monitor the project's progress closely, given its potential economic and environmental impacts.
