A collaborative research team from Sungkyunkwan University and POSTECH has developed a roll-to-roll manufacturing platform capable of producing metalenses at a rate of 300 units per second. Metalenses are ultrathin optical components that offer a compact
alternative to traditional lenses. The new system addresses previous manufacturing challenges by enabling high-speed, large-area production while maintaining uniformity and yield. The process involves creating a 12-inch silicon master stamp and using a custom-built nanoimprint lithography system.
