Olsen's work spanned various genres, and he was particularly proud of his Canadian-produced dramedy 'Here's to Life!' which received eight Genie Award nominations. Throughout his career, Olsen also contributed to projects like 'All Dogs Go to Heaven 2' and 'Relic Hunter.' He was a mentor to many young screenwriters, teaching at Capilano University and the Vancouver Film School.
