Hanmi Pharm. Co., Ltd. has signed a licensing agreement with Eli Lilly and Company for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of sonefpeglutide, a LAPSGLP-2 analog. This novel drug candidate utilizes Hanmi's LAPSCOVERY platform and is currently
in a global Phase 2 clinical trial for short bowel syndrome (SBS). The agreement grants Lilly exclusive rights to develop and commercialize sonefpeglutide worldwide, excluding Korea. Hanmi will receive an upfront payment of USD 75 million and may earn up to USD 1.185 billion in milestone payments, along with royalties post-launch.
