Colleen Leslie, a dedicated volunteer at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum, has successfully restored an antique plaque featuring the Lord’s Prayer. The plaque, which was in poor condition, was selected for restoration and display inside the Arizona church,
a historic building with personal significance to Leslie's family. Despite having no prior experience in wood restoration, Leslie took on the challenge, reassembling the intricate scrollwork using specialized conservation materials. The restoration process took approximately 10 hours, resulting in a polished and well-preserved piece. Leslie's efforts highlight the crucial role volunteers play in maintaining and preserving historical artifacts at the museum.
