from arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow, which was performed to remove loose bodies. The procedure, known as a NanoNeedle scope, took place nearly five weeks ago. Skubal's recovery appears to be ahead of schedule, as he has already completed a successful rehab start, allowing only two hits over five shutout innings for Detroit's High-A affiliate. Before his injury, Skubal had a 3-2 record with a 2.70 ERA in seven starts, having allowed 35 hits and 13 earned runs over 43.1 innings. His last appearance for the Tigers was on April 29.
