SC Films International has acquired worldwide sales rights for 'Fujiko,' a Japanese drama directed by Kimura Taichi. The film, produced by Megumi, features an ensemble cast including Katayama Yuki and veteran actors like Lily Franky and Ogata Issey. Set
in Shizuoka during the 1970s and '80s, 'Fujiko' follows a single mother's quest for personal freedom amidst societal changes. The film will premiere at the Udine Far East Film Festival and is set for a theatrical release in Japan. The soundtrack includes contributions from King Gnu's Tsuneta Daiki, adding a rock-inflected identity to the film.
