What's Happening?
MISC Group has named two new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers, Seri Dian and Seri Dayang, on May 7, 2026. These vessels, constructed by Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd., are equipped with advanced technologies such as the Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling
(ICER) system and an enhanced cargo containment system. This development marks a continuation of MISC's partnership with SeaRiver Maritime LLC, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil. The naming ceremony was attended by representatives from ExxonMobil, SeaRiver Maritime, and other stakeholders. The addition of these carriers brings MISC's LNG fleet to 32 vessels, reinforcing its position as a leading operator in the LNG sector.
