NS/TX Industries, in collaboration with Protein Industries Canada, New Protein International, and Infusd Nutrition, is scaling up its manufacturing technology to enhance the production of whole-cut meat alternatives. The project aims to automate NS/TX's
assembly line and introduce whole-cut beef and pork alternatives using Canadian-sourced ingredients. This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Canada's food system by transforming locally grown crops into high-value protein ingredients. The project, supported by a $15.1 million investment, will also focus on improving the nutritional profiles of these alternatives. NS/TX's proprietary technology allows for the production of plant-based salmon filets that mimic the texture and taste of real salmon, and the company plans to expand its offerings to include other meat alternatives.
