The Montgomery Advertiser has announced the winners of its Athlete of the Week poll, sponsored by the Vance Law Firm, for the week of March 28-April 3. Jacob Stubblefield from Montgomery Academy emerged victorious in the boys' poll after scoring two goals
in a game on March 30. Meanwhile, Kyleigh Harris from Montgomery Catholic claimed the top spot in the girls' poll by securing her sixth shutout of the season as a goalkeeper on March 31. The polls, which ran from April 5-9, allowed readers to vote once every hour. Stubblefield won with 79% of the total votes, surpassing Montgomery Academy's Hampton Welch. Harris won with 65%, beating her teammate Chayse Jordan. The nominees are selected based on their performances from the previous week, and the voting process is open from Monday to Thursday, with winners announced on Fridays.
