The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has entered into a multi-year agreement with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Baku City Circuit Operations Company to host UFC Fight Night events in Baku annually until 2028. The first event under
this agreement is scheduled for June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena. Last year's debut event at Baku Crystal Hall attracted over 14,000 spectators, indicating a growing interest in mixed martial arts (MMA) in the region. UFC President Dana White and Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov discussed the partnership's success and future development opportunities during a meeting in Las Vegas. The collaboration aims to strengthen Azerbaijan's position as a global sports hub and create new opportunities for athletes.
