What's Happening?
The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Cowgirls participated in the Big 12 outdoor track and field championships in Arizona, finishing in the middle of the pack. The Cowboys secured seventh place with 62 points, while the Cowgirls finished sixth with 58 points.
Despite not winning a team title, several athletes achieved significant personal and program milestones. Steven Schmidt set a new program record in the Decathlon with 7,729 points, breaking the previous record of 7,450 points. Annie Molenhouse became the first Cowgirl to score over 6,000 points in the Heptathlon, finishing with 6,005 points. Will Muirhead won the men's 5,000 meters, setting a new stadium record. Freshman Burklie Burton won the hammer throw with a personal best of 67.99 meters. The women's 4x400 meter relay team set a new school record with a time of 3:32.21.
