What's Happening?
The Good Vibes & Strides club, founded in May 2024 by Jennifer Kidwell, has been growing steadily as a supportive community for women. Kidwell, who was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, started the club to find a way to stay active that was gentle on her joints while also supporting her mental and emotional health. The club began with an invitation to a few friends to join her for a walk, and over 100 women attended the first event. Since then, the club has continued to expand, attracting more participants each month.
Why It's Important?
The growth of the Good Vibes & Strides club highlights the increasing demand for inclusive and supportive communities that focus on health and wellness. For women dealing with health challenges like rheumatoid arthritis, such
groups provide a vital space for physical activity that accommodates their needs while also offering emotional support. The club's success underscores the importance of community-driven initiatives in promoting health and well-being, particularly for those who may feel isolated due to their health conditions. It also reflects a broader societal trend towards prioritizing mental and emotional health alongside physical fitness.
