Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere, located in northwest England. The hotel, which is set to begin accepting reservations from July 10, 2026, marks Fairmont's
fourth property in the United Kingdom. Situated on a 157-acre estate, the hotel features 116 bedrooms, including 23 suites, and offers a variety of dining options such as Gordon Ramsay at The Mere and The Orangery. The property also includes wellness facilities at Fairmont Spa and an 18-hole championship golf course. The transformation of the historic Mere estate into a Fairmont hotel follows a £35 million acquisition and an additional £90 million investment by Select Group. The hotel is equipped with a 1,000-square-meter Grand Ballroom and several boardrooms, making it suitable for weddings and multi-day celebrations.
