What's Happening?
Tulfra Real Estate and The Hampshire Companies have commenced construction on the High Mountain Promenade, a new development located at 987 Belmont Avenue in North Haledon, New Jersey. This project will feature 90 apartments, retail shops, and a 596-unit
self-storage facility. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by North Haledon Mayor Randy George, Tulfra CEO Sonny Jumani, and Hampshire Chairman Jon F. Hanson. The development is strategically positioned less than two miles from the edge of Bergen County, with easy access to major routes and interstates. This project follows previous collaborations between Tulfra and Hampshire, including the Molly Brook on Belmont and Park 11 developments.
Why It's Important?
The High Mountain Promenade project is significant as it represents a substantial investment in the North Haledon area, potentially boosting local economic activity and providing new housing and retail opportunities. The development is expected to attract residents and businesses, given its proximity to major transportation routes and nearby towns. This project could also enhance the local real estate market and contribute to the area's urban development. The involvement of established developers like Tulfra and Hampshire underscores the project's potential impact on the community and the broader region.
What's Next?
As construction progresses, stakeholders will likely monitor the project's impact on local traffic, infrastructure, and community dynamics. The development may prompt further investments in the area, potentially leading to additional residential and commercial projects. Local government and community leaders will need to address any challenges related to increased population density and infrastructure demands. The project's success could serve as a model for similar developments in other suburban areas.
