Aura Aero, a French startup, has revealed multiple cabin configurations for its hybrid-electric regional aircraft, the ERA, at Aero Friedrichshafen. The aircraft is set to enter service in 2030, with configurations ranging from high-density 16-to-19 passenger
layouts to 8-to-9 passenger 'lounge' and 'business' setups. The company is progressing towards building the first component of the aircraft, with a maiden flight anticipated in 2027. Aura Aero has secured €340 million in funding from various investors, including Safran Corporate Ventures and the French government, to support its development efforts.
