Tender Pictures, led by Abbi Jacobson and Mieka Tennant, has announced the 2026 class of Prelude Fellows, a program aimed at nurturing early-career storytellers. The fellowship, now in its second year, focuses on talent discovery and equity, supporting
emerging writers, directors, and producers with limited industry experience. The new cohort includes ten female-identifying and non-binary storytellers selected through a competitive process by a committee of industry leaders. The program offers an eight-month fellowship providing mentorship and exposure to both the artistic and business aspects of the film and television industry. Notable mentors include Jess Brunetto, Emma Ho, Ali Liebegott, and others, with returning mentors from the previous year. The program emphasizes creativity and experimentation, aiming to provide the necessary spark for the creative process.
