Seattle's Office of Economic Development has reported significant growth in its AI-focused public-private partnership, known as 'AI House', which has expanded from 15 to 21 startups in its first year.
Located at Pier 70 on the Seattle waterfront, AI House serves as a collaborative hub for entrepreneurs, investors, students, and community leaders. The initiative is supported by the Seattle Office of Economic Development, the AI2 Incubator, and Ada Developers Academy. The project received $210,000 from the Office of Economic Development and $400,000 from a Washington State Department of Commerce grant to lease the space to nonprofit organizations and academic institutions. Since its inception, the startups at AI House have collectively raised $34 million in capital. The initiative aims to foster AI technology development and provide educational resources to enhance workforce skills in AI applications.
