A record-breaking eight former Indiana University (IU) football players were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza was the first overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders. Wide receiver Omar Cooper was also picked in the first round
by the New York Jets. Other IU players drafted include D'Angelo Ponds, Kaelon Black, Elijah Sarratt, Riley Nowakowski, Pat Coogan, and Aiden Fisher. Additionally, six undrafted IU players signed free agent contracts with various NFL teams.
