Talkiatry, a major private employer of psychiatrists, has launched Talkiatry Connect, a new tool designed to streamline psychiatric referrals within existing cloud-based EMR systems. This browser-based overlay integrates with over 30 EMRs, allowing providers
to easily refer patients for psychiatric care without leaving their workflow. The tool aims to eliminate the 'portal hop' issue, where the referral process becomes cumbersome and inefficient, often leading to patients not receiving necessary care. Talkiatry Connect is already in use at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists, facilitating psychiatric support for cancer patients.
