The joint venture, with Tau-Ken Samruk National Mining Company retaining a 30% stake, holds licenses for the Northern Katpar and Upper Kairakty projects in Kazakhstan's Karaganda mining district. The projects are expected to produce approximately 12,000 metric tonnes of tungsten annually, representing about 15% of current global production.
