The film explores themes of grief and perseverance, capturing the natural beauty of the region. MetFilm will present the documentary to international buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, co-representing it with Submarine Entertainment.
Why It's Important?
The acquisition of 'To Hold a Mountain' by MetFilm highlights the growing international interest in documentaries that address
socio-political issues and personal narratives. The film's success at Sundance underscores the power of storytelling in bringing attention to lesser-known global conflicts and cultural heritage preservation. By securing international sales rights, MetFilm aims to broaden the film's reach, potentially influencing public discourse on military expansion and its impact on local communities. This move also reflects the increasing demand for diverse and impactful content in the global film market.
