'Ivy Newt' is based on a series of books by Irish author Derek Keilty, which follow the adventures of a young witch named Ivy Newt and her shapeshifting companion, Tom, in a magical land called Miracula. The books have been published in ten countries, with the first two installments released in the U.S. in late 2025. The series will be co-created and showrun by Daisy Aitkens, with Joshua Friedman serving as co-creator and executive producer. Sheen and Lundberg, who are married
and have previously worked together, will voice Ivy's parents, while Lucas will play the antagonist, Clawdelia Thorn.
