Premier Foods has reported significant progress in its sustainability efforts, as outlined in its Enriching Life Plan. The company achieved a 14% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 market-based emissions and a 16% increase in sales of products meeting high nutritional
standards. Investments include a £2.1 million solar farm at its Carlton Bakery, expected to supply nearly three-quarters of the bakery's electricity needs and reduce carbon emissions by 468 tonnes annually. Additionally, Premier Foods upgraded steam boilers at its Worksop site, enhancing energy efficiency and cutting emissions by 686 tonnes per year. The company also introduced heat recovery solutions at its Lifton Creamery. Under its Product pillar, Premier Foods reached its 2030 target ahead of schedule, with over half of its products meeting high nutritional standards.
