The cast also includes Ellis Howard as James, Sarah Greene as Deenie, and Daniel Ings as Dr. Fred Byrne. Set in Cork in 2010, the story follows Rachel, a student working at a bookstore, who becomes roommates with James. Their friendship evolves as Rachel develops a crush on her married professor, Dr. Fred Byrne, leading to a series of events that change their lives. O’Donoghue is adapting her book for the screen, with the series being produced by Universal Content
Productions and Element Pictures, known for 'Normal People'. The series is commissioned by Channel 4's Rebecca Holdsworth and supported by Screen Ireland.
