Hovermale allowed only one hit and one run over five innings. The team's success is bolstered by strong performances from players like Codey Brown, who contributed three hits and three RBIs, and Zion Martinez and Jacob Melendez, each with two hits and two RBIs. Meanwhile, Corona Centennial achieved an upset against Corona with a 5-2 win, thanks to a complete game and 10 strikeouts by sophomore pitcher Christian De La O.
