What's Happening?
On April 11, 2026, Traverse City Roller Derby is organizing a racing event at K1 Speed Traverse City. The event, titled 'Fast Five Skate Race,' invites teams of five skaters to compete for the fastest combined time in a five-lap time trial. Each skater will
have two opportunities to achieve their best time, initially racing with their team and then individually against skaters with similar speeds. The team with the fastest combined time will win a grand prize of $1500. Additional individual prizes will be awarded based on divisions such as women's, all gender, youth, and age categories. The event requires quad skates and helmets, with protective gear recommended. The entry fee is $40 per skater, and the event is open to all ages.
