What's Happening?
Reliable Robotics, a leader in autonomous aircraft systems, has partnered with the City of Albuquerque Aviation Department to participate in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Advanced Air Mobility Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). This initiative
aims to enhance safety in regional air cargo operations by utilizing autonomous commercial cargo aircraft to connect Albuquerque with other communities in the Four Corners region. The program marks the first commercial operation of regional air cargo service by a large Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in the United States. The Reliable Autonomy System, featuring an always-on autopilot and a Detect and Avoid system, is designed to address common aviation accident causes, such as loss of control and controlled flight into terrain. The FAA has accepted Reliable Robotics' certification plans, and the technologies integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, requiring no airport modifications.
