Addis Energy, a startup focused on sustainable ammonia production, has raised $8.3 million in a seed funding round led by At One Ventures. This funding will support the development of Addis Energy's AI-driven
chemical reactors that simulate subsurface conditions to produce ammonia more efficiently than the traditional Haber-Bosch process. The company aims to create a new platform for U.S.-led, domestic clean fuel and chemical production with zero emissions. Since its launch in January 2025, Addis Energy has partnered with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to leverage expertise in carbon sequestration and in-situ mining, collecting over 600 rock samples across U.S. geologies to demonstrate cost-effective ammonia production.
