Ford Racing's Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 has set a new record for electric vehicles by completing a quarter mile in 6.87 seconds at 221 mph during the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte. This achievement surpasses Ford's previous record of 7.623 seconds set by the Cobra Jet 1800
