The Grand Taste event at the Maui AgFest is set to showcase the culinary skills of 12 Maui chefs, who will create original recipes using island-grown produce and local meats. Scheduled for May 30, the event is a part of the 17th Maui AgFest & 4-H Livestock
Fair, organized by the Maui County Farm Bureau and the Maui 4-H Livestock Association. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample dishes in four categories: 'Āina, Kai, Vegetarian, and Dessert, and vote for their favorites. The event aims to highlight the strong relationship between Maui's agriculture and its culinary scene, with chefs and restaurants supporting local agriculture. The event is expected to sell out, with tickets available online.
