What's Happening?
Elluminate, a philanthropic organization, has launched the Global Jewish Women’s Leadership Network during its 30th anniversary celebration. The network aims to strengthen the feminist field by connecting Jewish women leaders from nonprofits, philanthropy,
and social advocacy. The inaugural summit in New York City brought together 70 women from Israel and the U.S. to participate in a think tank focused on planning the network's future. The initiative seeks to provide a support system and 'force multiplier' for women working on social issues impacting women, such as reproductive rights and economic violence.
Why It's Important?
The launch of the Global Jewish Women’s Leadership Network represents a significant step in promoting gender equity and justice within the Jewish community and beyond. By fostering collaboration and mentorship among women leaders, the network aims to address funding challenges and strengthen initiatives focused on women's rights and social justice. This initiative could inspire similar efforts in other communities, highlighting the importance of collective action in advancing gender equality.
