SGS, a leading company in testing, inspection, and certification, has announced a strategic collaboration with Exterra Technologies, a mining technology company based in Quebec. This partnership aims to strengthen Canada's domestic critical mineral processing
capacity while addressing environmental concerns in mineral production. The collaboration was unveiled at the PDAC 2026 Convention in Toronto. Exterra has also secured a C$5 million contribution agreement with Natural Resources Canada's Critical Minerals Research, Development and Demonstration Program to advance its flagship project in Quebec. The partnership will focus on demonstrating the scalability of Exterra's technology, which aims to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts.
