What's Happening?
The University of Münster, the University of Applied Forest Sciences Rottenburg, and the nova-Institute have initiated the PerPlacsBio project, focusing on the use of biodegradable plastics in agriculture and forestry. Funded by the Agency for Renewable Resources, the project aims to address the environmental impact of microplastics by promoting biodegradable alternatives. The project will analyze the potential applications of these materials, provide guidance to users, and expand the knowledge base on bio-based plastics. The initiative builds on the previous BioSinn project, which identified products where biodegradation is environmentally beneficial.
