The Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) in Hong Kong has announced the first batch of 17 in-development film projects for its 24th edition. These projects span various genres, including comedy, fantasy, suspense,
and romance, and are part of the Hong Kong International Film Festival's Industry Project Market. The forum aims to connect emerging directors with established industry mentors. Notable filmmakers involved include Stanley Kwan, Anthony Chen, and Shiina Yasushi. The selected projects reflect a diverse range of themes, such as identity, migration, and generational change, and are currently in the scriptwriting and financing stages. The forum received 414 submissions from 38 countries, with a significant portion from Asia.
