Palmtrees, a screenplay development incubator, has partnered with Neon, the studio known for films like 'Parasite', to support emerging screenwriters from underrepresented regions. The initiative will select 8 to 10 writers from areas such as Africa,
the Middle East, and Latin America for its inaugural program. Participants will receive mentorship and develop their scripts through a three-week residency. This collaboration aims to nurture diverse voices in cinema, providing them with the resources and exposure needed to succeed in the global film industry.
