Clarios, a global battery company, has unveiled a new feature called the Trailer Battery Manager at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This feature is an extension of Clarios' Connected Services
Platform, designed to monitor the health and charge status of heavy-duty truck low-voltage tractor batteries. The Trailer Battery Manager provides real-time insights into trailer battery conditions, helping operators prevent liftgate failures and ensuring continuous operation of cooling systems, which is crucial for refrigerated transport. The system requires a subscription and a one-time installation fee, which includes adding a sensor and gateway to the batteries. This setup records and transmits battery data at regular intervals, similar to Clarios' previously announced IdleLess program.
