What's Happening?
Bitget Wallet, a self-custodial finance app, has upgraded its DEX Aggregator API to support market-order trading of tokenized real-world assets (RWA), including equities. This upgrade allows partners to execute trades from any token directly into tokenized stocks
using the same API for standard crypto swaps. The system supports trading of US-listed equities, ADRs, and a range of ETFs. The upgrade introduces a multi-hop routing model to improve liquidity and pricing accuracy, addressing previous challenges in RWA trading. Bitget Wallet aims to provide a seamless trading experience without requiring partners to take on market-making risks.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of Bitget Wallet's API to include tokenized stock trading represents a significant development in the integration of traditional financial assets with blockchain technology. By enabling seamless trading of tokenized equities, Bitget Wallet is bridging the gap between crypto and traditional finance, potentially attracting more institutional investors to the crypto space. This move could enhance liquidity and accessibility in the tokenized asset market, offering new opportunities for diversification and investment. The development also underscores the growing trend of tokenization in finance, which could reshape how assets are traded and managed globally.
