What's Happening?
BILL has expanded its Supplier Payments Plus product, allowing enterprise suppliers to accept payments from any SMB customer, even those without a BILL account. This expansion introduces Payment Links, enabling suppliers to send payment requests to SMBs,
converting paper checks into digital transactions. The update aims to streamline payment processes, reducing collection times by up to seven days. BILL's network, comprising over eight million businesses, facilitates this integration, offering a unified dashboard for managing payments from both member and non-member SMBs.
Why It's Important?
This expansion represents a significant shift in B2B payment platforms, moving away from closed networks to more inclusive systems. By allowing enterprise suppliers to collect payments from non-member SMBs, BILL enhances its value proposition, potentially increasing its market share. The move could influence other payment platforms to adopt similar strategies, fostering greater flexibility and efficiency in B2B transactions. For SMBs, this development simplifies payment processes, reducing administrative burdens and improving cash flow management.
